great program. here's my experience. so it started ok i was at the orange, ca facility at the morada house. i am a transgender female and even though it was kinda weird being at a boys house i was ok with it. then about 2 weeks into the program a big mistake happened. they decided to move me to this rodeo house which is transgender/lgbtq teenagers. the staff was lovely at both houses. i made a very good connection with a CC riana, she was the best (: but i didn't really get along with the kids at the rodeo house. they were all stuck up and honestly only cared about themselves. and i started to regress after being treated very poorly by the other teens in the house. long story short i lost my sh*t and got moved back to morada. then more sh*t happened and for the near end of my stay i was at the hill house. loved it. the kids were nice, for the most part. staff was very caring and good. loved, riana, payton, rozalyn, gloria, eric, iyleen (idk how to spell her name), josh, nathaniel and dulci and a lot more. erin and vanessa the counselor and individual therapist at morada which i also had at hill bc they didn't wanna move me, were lovely and very good <3 spencer was a very good family therapist and put up with my shit. some of my issues were 1. the meals, they weren't perfect, some were good, some were bad. i have had worse but could DEFINITELY do better. also i dont like the fact that they make us do "UA" cups every other day. even if you have never dealt with substance issues. honestly, the program mainly focuses on kids with substance abuse issues more than kids that deal with other issues. they make us watch AA meetings even if u have never dealt with alcohol issues. yanet was such a good teacher i loved her sm. the RS at hill was rlly good <3 (not saying the other ones weren't) would definitely recommend IF you can afford it and have good insurance, if you insurance doesn't cover or u do not have a insurance at all i would reccomend another program. HELPED alot (:
