Ventura Recovery Center

When I entered VRC almost 15 months ago, I had no idea what I was getting into. I had just left another treatment center and found the solution provided there completely ineffective. What VRC has offered me is a complete rebirth and a new outlook on life. I can walk with confidence among others, and I have begun to rewrite my wretched past thanks to the staff, therapists, and sponsors that I have been introduced to. Without the love and support of VRC, I surely would not be walking this Earth or writing this review right now. I cannot thank them enough for saving my life.

VRC is the place to go if you are serious about recovery. This isn't some fluffy getaway for massages and coddling and avoiding the work and seriousness of the disease of alcoholism. It is structured to get the client active in their own recovery, and give the client a clear understanding of alcoholism and drug addiction. The center is run and owned by people who have recovered themselves; they have direct experience and understanding of what it takes to get sober - and stay sober. They know what they are talking about because they've been through it themselves. This is what separates VRC from the country club "rehabs". Alcoholism is a deadly, progressive disease. VRC understands this, and is the best choice for anyone who is serious about recovery, serious about saving their own life, and serious about freedom from drugs and alcohol. ~ KB

Very caring and involved with patient and family. Their actions speak volumes about their committment to serving both the needs of the patient and the needs of the family. I have no area of complaint with Ventura. Outstanding facility. Ventura and its attentive staff have gone above and beyond to create a caring and successful environment for addiction recovery. They work one on one with patients and their families to establish a wholistic approach for recovery. They are located in a very safe and nurturing area of California, with opportunities for the clients to have sober and positive involvement with the surrounding community. Very thankful for their commitment to helping their clients find successful and sober living.

Strengths: Holds client accountable for their actions  One on one therapy along with groups and studies  Family has the ability to reach case mgs and therapist easily  I can't say enough good. Weaknesses: Haven't seen any so far. After three failed 30 day programs for opiates and alcohol we found VRC. They were the first to effectively treat and diagnose our son. They know what they are dealing with. Each clients program is tailored for them. Not a canned 30 shot in the arm, which doesn't work. These professional have one of the best models for treatment we have seen.
