About His House Rehab

At His & Her Houses we provide many levels of treatment from detox to sober living and ongoing continuing care. Our multi-disciplinary approach is instrumental in educating our clients and their loved ones about the effects of drugs and alcohol on the body, mind, and spirit. Using evidence based modalities, our qualified experienced staff works closely with the addict to develop an accurate and effective treatment plan based on individual needs and goals. For many, addiction and alcoholism are complex problems that not only involve compulsive use of substances, but also interlocks behaviors, feelings and how an individual interacts with loved ones. This results in a lifestyle that is self-defeating and unstable. The best treatment does not stop at freeing our client from chemical use, but it also examines the impact of emotional, behavioral and interpersonal consequences. Our program helps clients find and maintain a lifestyle that is free of dependency. We believe in treating addiction and alcoholism on a holistic level using a multidisciplinary approach. Our facility aims to address all aspects of the diseases of alcoholism and addiction. The diseases have many components such as the physical, mental, biological, emotional, and spiritual. Our goal and purpose is to find the excellence that is within us all and to celebrate it with every part of our heart and soul.

I've stayed in the "His House" sober living for three months, but have never stayed in the rehab. Both facilities are owned by the same company, and the person that runs the sober living also works at the rehab. I am making this post to warn anyone thinking about entering either one of these programs that His House, and other related facilities, are shining examples of recovery for profit. These facilities could care less about your recovery, and I would go so far as to say that they look forward to, and promote, people leaving their programs early because they keep the money they are given for the month. Never have I dealt with such an unprofessional, unclean, dignity affronting, and overall terrible program such as this. Some examples of what I am talking about: Being yelled at and scolded like I am a child, being told I must scrub asphalt for pouring coffee on it, being told I should be grateful for a roof over my head when complaining about mold in the walls and ceiling ( I have pictures of the mold, which is very harmful to breath ). One week I washed all my sheets, which does cost money, later that week, one day, the house manger tells me that his dog got feces all stuck in her hair and he had to clean it. I later went upstairs and he had the dog on my bed and was sitting on it playing with the dog. Another time I was in the shower room, naked, when the house manger barged in, I tried to shut the door and tell him that I am naked, and he commanded me to open the door. He said "I've seen a naked body before." These people treat you like dirt, and the environment is not conducive of recovery. If you are willing to pay to have your recovery jeopardized and your dignity affronted, His House facilities are right for you.

Do not chose His House for rehabilitation, they do not care about you at all. All they care about is the money. I spent 30 days in a house built in 1920. Everything in the house was old (toilets, shower, beds, etc.). Their facilities are run-down, and more importantly. They are also not a Christian facility. All they do is keep you busy with in-house meetings, external AA (or NA) meetings and homework. They don't do much related to rehabilitation. If you care about a loved one and want to get them help, do not send them to His House. Does that sound like an organization that knows what they are doing? Stay away from this company. Their main office is on Pittsburg street in Rancho Cucamonga, CA.

I went to a sober Living that’s part of His House and what evil people they are. We never had one person come visit us to see how things were. They have zero recovery. They claim they claim Christians. This is a money hungry place that has no regard for people staying sober. I woke one day to 5 men basically strong arming me telling me I have to be out in a week knowing I was court ordered to stay there for 3 more months. Now I was forced to try and find a place with no warning. Now I have no idea what’s going to happen with my court situation. Extremely stressful and they acted like they could give a crap. Never send anyone to this place. This Is by far the worst place I have ever been.

I normally dont go out of my way to leave reviews but I think that this one is important. So many people who are looking for treatment are overwhelmed with crazy information all over the internet. When I decided to call His House, I was met with a genuine and honest voice. They weren't trying to sell me anything, they even said they'd help me find a program if I wasn't a good fit for theirs. Who does that? A good person does that. That's what His House is, an amazing place of recovery filled with love, support, and good people. Thanks to the whole team there. You guys are really changing this world by helping one person at a time.
