About Boggs Intensive Residential Program
WestCare Georgia's Boggs facility provides residential drug education and treatment services for adolescent males (ages 13-17) who have a history of substance abuse or dependence. Operating from the belief that addiction is rooted in illness, drug and alcohol abuse is treated with a broad-based approach that addresses the physical, behavioral and emotional aspects of the condition, and embraces the concept that behavioral changes can occur through positive peer support and peer pressure. Treatment includes individual and group therapy, and extensive education in life skills, coping mechanisms and relapse prevention.
