  • RESCU Program
Recovering Emergency Service Community United (RESCU) is our confidential addiction treatment program for first responders and military members. Whether you’re an active or former law enforcement officer, firefighter, corrections officer, EMT, paramedic, or military member, if you’re struggling with addiction, we can help. Our first responder addiction treatment program is designed to address and assist with profession-related obstacles you may be facing so you can gain lasting recovery from substances. Since anonymity is critical for you to be able to focus on your treatment and recovery, we are committed to your privacy. You will be immersed in a tight-knit community of fellow first responders and military service members and recover alongside individuals who share similar life and professional experiences.
  • Detox Services
Begin your journey to recovery at a Recovery Centers of America inpatient drug and alcohol detox center. Our expert, caring staff will help you safely and comfortably get through the physical and psychological symptoms of withdrawal. Medically supervised detox can ease the discomfort and potential dangers of withdrawal while also preparing you for ongoing treatment. Our inpatient detox program is just one part of our comprehensive substance use disorder treatment plans. I have not been to this facility yet. I am replying to a review by \"angry wife\". You claim you wish the facility made rehab more \"uncomfortable\" because you believe it will make people take it more serious. I can tell you firsthand about a different rehab I went to in Worcester that truly did NOT give a *hit about the patient. THAT is why people typically relapse. On the other hand, I have heard firsthand from a former patient of Westminster Recovery Center that there truly is a difference in the treatment of patients, and having therapy such as yoga and art therapy, a pool, a nice room, makes a person feel respected and cared for, and in my opinion, THAT is a key ingredient missing from many addicts lives, and the reason why Recovery can be so difficult. Being an addict is difficult enough, so it sounds to me like Recovery Centers of America may actually be onto something by offering a few extra amenities along with what sounds like great counselors. I switched my insurance just to be able to go to the facility because my life IS IMPORTANT to me and I DON\'T want want to waste my time, and DO NOT consider it a VACATION.

This facility is beautiful! It is separated with Detox (Co-ed) and Residential (Gender separate) Units. Each bedroom has 2 queen size beds and each side has a television. You only have one roommate. The food is excellent! The chef really takes pride in his work and puts out nutritious great tasting meals. You get "Fresh air breaks" where you can smoke about 8-9 times per day. They offer yoga & art therapy along with primary process groups. You are allowed to use your cell phone once a week, in front of your case manager, for a half hour to check bills, emails and such. I would recommend this facility above any other in Massachusetts.

Patients don’t get treatment they are just dollar signs that management tries to keep them happy so they don’t leaven. This place is just bad all around. All the good reviews are fake. Management demanded all the staff do online reviews because our rating was so low.

The staff was very patient and tolerant. They did everything in their power to get me to stay during my bi-polar episodes, while i was starting my new medication. The staff is very understanding of each individuals medical needs. The best part of RCA is the vast majority of the staff are also recovering addicts so they understand very well the troubles we encounter while becoming sober. We were well fed and the and well monitored by the staff so they could address changes in our behavior almost immediately. Staff the is very experienced in addiction and recovery as well as the medical staff. A comfortable living enviroment. Excelent food. Great activities for coping with addiction. And a very social environment that forces you to be engaged with a large group of people. A few more phones wouldnt hurt. Some people would use the phones without permission and you wouldnt be able to get your daily phone call. Also some of the patients who are court ordered to be in the facility have a toxic/negative attitude and try to ruin recovery for people who truly want to be there.
