About Oxford Treatment Center

Oxford Treatment Center is a 110 acre campus located within the Holly Springs National Forest. With a 5-acre lake, ducks, geese and beautiful undisturbed forest land, the rural setting at Oxford Treatment Center offers a tranquil healing environment. Our approach to addiction treatment is a holistic one, seeking to restore hope and health to individuals who come to us out of painful, self-destructive patterns. It’s not enough to end a physical dependency through successful medical detox. On the other side of that first step, the individual in recovery must have the right support in place to break those old habits and replace them with new ones. He or she must find a new way to fill the void that drugs or alcohol once did — essentially, find a new meaning in life. At Oxford Treatment Center, our team of dedicated professionals consists of a medical director, a board certified addictions psychiatrist, a board certified internist, and 6 board certified nurse practitioners. The most unique hallmark of our team of medical providers is an average of 8 year tenure at Oxford Treatment Center. The medical provider cohort is proud of the stability and commitment it provides to our patients.

Learn More About Oxford Treatment Center

What is the duration of addiction treatment programs?
The duration of addiction treatment programs can vary depending on the individual's needs and circumstances but commonly range from 30 to 90 days.
What is the cost of addiction treatment programs?
The cost of addiction treatment programs can vary depending on the type and length of treatment, but many facilities offer financial assistance and payment plans to help make treatment more affordable. Treatment is an investment in your future, and we believe everyone who needs it should be able to access it. We can help verify your insurance coverage at an AAC facility in just a few minutes, and determine the best way to pay for care.
Will my health insurance cover the cost of addiction treatment?
Under the Affordable Care Act (ACA), treatment for substance use disorder (SUD) is considered an essential benefit. This means that many health insurance plans cover some, if not all, of the cost of addiction treatment, but coverage may vary depending on the provider and the type of treatment received.
What types of therapies are used in addiction treatment?
Therapies used in addiction treatment can include various behavioral therapies, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing (MI), and more.

Areas of Specialization
  • Residential Treatment
Residential treatment programs provide housing (food and meals) in addition to treatment for substance abuse. Some facilities offer only short-term residential treatment, some offer only long-term treatment and others offer both, ranging from a few days to many months, based on patient needs.
  • Individualized Treatment
Some facilities have an addiction treatment protocol that all patients or clients are expected to follow, while others customize or individualize treatment based on a person’s unique needs and circumstances. Factors that may affect treatment decisions include age, lifestyle, medical conditions, type of drug, religious beliefs, etc.
  • Medical Detoxification
The term “medical detoxification” means that there is a trained and licensed medical professional onsite to monitor your vital signs and protect your physical and emotional health as your body goes through withdrawal. All patients in detox are monitored by staff with 15 minute rounding checks. In addition to these rounding checks, we utilize Neteera. Neteera is a Remote Patient Monitoring technology that Oxford Treatment Center has been proud to pilot for AAC. This new technology allows our medical staff to continuously monitor the vital signs of all patients simultaneously by utilizing SUB-THz RADAR. This monitoring system is mounted above each bed and is non-intrusive to the patient.
  • Family Program
Research shows that the odds of successful, sustained recovery from addiction are far higher when family members and loved ones are involved in treatment. Drug and alcohol addiction often have genetic roots, whether related to substance abuse, mental illness or both. Family dynamics also play a role and, often, family members are the first to realize a loved one has developed an addiction. Also, it’s important for family members to understand and embrace the lifestyle changes that are required to sustain recovery.
  • Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)
Our partial hospitalization program (PHP) is the most intensive form of outpatient addiction treatment. Our PHP in Mississippi allow patients the freedom to return home after daily addiction treatment sessions while benefiting from a highly structured form of drug and alcohol rehab.
  • Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
An intensive outpatient program, or IOP, is a form of addiction treatment that typically provides at least 9 hours of programming per week, held during the day. IOPs can serve either as a starting point for rehab or an extension of care initiated through another type of treatment, such as inpatient/residential, partial hospitalization, or standard outpatient.
  • Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT)
For those admitting with opioid use disorders and/or alcohol use disorders, MAT can be especially helpful. While in treatment at OTC, your medical provider will discuss with you the benefits and risks of making MAT a part of your treatment plan.

As i look back I now realize I should have come here way before I showed up but as I was taught, none of us get clean and sober one second before we were supposed to. OTC has helped me and my family strengthen our relationships and I'm so thankful.
